June 19 – Learning Lunch
Leveraging Your Performance Network with Bernadette Johnson

“We don’t need to convince large numbers of people to change; instead, we need to connect with kindred spirits. This is why networks are so important. But networks aren’t the whole story. They need to evolve into intentional working relationships where new knowledge, practices, courage, and commitment can develop…”

~Meg Wheatley

Geary Rummler, performance technology expert, spoke about managing the white space between the boxes in an organization chart. The whitespace representing ‘how’ things really get done…outside the stated structure…it is also where possibility and potentiality live.

Building your network has become a pivotal capability in today’s relationship-driven environment. This interactive session explores a more efficient way to build your network through relationships that go between/beyond the boxes. Participants will explore the importance of developing a strategic network and understand its impact on an organization’s performance improvement initiatives; potentially elevating them as the “go to person” for accelerating improvement.
